Immigrant visa applicants must electronically sign off on the DS-260 visa application. Doing so can be more difficult than it sounds because the system is finicky (to put it mildly). The National Visa Center posts known technology issues on the Troubleshooting page. They also offer this guidance to individuals who are encountering error messages that suggest the site is unavailable: “They should clear out their cache and cookies, and restart their browser.”
Medical Examination in the UK
Immigrant visa applicants in the UK must attend a medical examination with the Panel Physician under contract with the US Embassy in London.
